Dakota Sioux Hotel is owned and operated by the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate. This building was the first phase of the Dakota Sioux Casino and Hotel Development. This facility is a five story, 93 room full service hotel and was completed in September 2005. The hotel has two hospitality suites (The Executive Suite and The Council Suite), seven two-room suites (named after the seven bands of Sioux Indians), in house laundry, guest laundry and a fitness center. The design of this facility incorporates the symbolism and heritage of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate, including, a star quilt of tile inlaid in the lobby floor and a custom chandelier that depicting scenes representative of the Seven Districts of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate. This hotel is adjacent to and serves Dakota Sioux Casino, which was completed in November 2006.
